SWM-WOOD is a one of the leading Finnish companies manufacturing thermally modified wood. The company is based in Mikkeli, southern Finland, and it was founded in 1998. We process besides Scandinavian pine and spruce also e. g. Radiata pine, beech and ash.

As a result of our advanced production technology, careful selection of raw material and constant research and development, we are able to offer our customers high-quality thermally modified wood and the markets’ broadest selection of dimensions. Thermal modification and hot-air drying services of wood are also part of our business.

In February of 2003, as recognition of our systematic and long-term development work, our company was granted the first international product approval for thermally modified spruce, the KOMO® product certificate, which is highly valued in the Netherlands. In 2004 the KOMO® product certificate was granted for pine and Radiata pine, as well.

SWM WOOD is a member of Suomen Lämpöpuuyhdistys ry (Finland's Thermowood Association) and we are recognised manufacturers of products meeting the requirements of the Thermowood® product categories Thermo-S and Thermo-D.
